Every dollar goes to help the people of Palestine
Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the White House on Sunday and Monday ahead of Prime Minister Netanyahu's meeting with President Trump on Monday evening.
The main protests were coordinated by the Palestinian Youth Movement and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, but other participating groups included the Muslim American Society, American Muslims for Palestine and Jewish Voices for Peace.
It also parroted antisemitic and anti-Western conspiracy theories about Jewish elites oppressing the working classes: "the American imperialist and Zionist ruling class starve and kill our people and threaten to drag working people across the world into a massively unpopular regional war."
"Capitulation to US interests and normalization with Israel will not bring peace nor prosperity to the region, and we know that every time a Zionist figure visits the US empire, these forces collude to escalate the suffering and oppression of our people," it added.
American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), in collaboration with CODEPINK, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and the US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), also held a press conference at 10 am condemning Netanyahu’s visit and calling for an "immediate and unconditional ceasefire."
Notably, Elias Rodriguez, the man who killed two Israeli embassy workers in Washington, DC in May, claimed to be a member of PSL.
The group itself released a statement following the attack, saying it rejects "any attempt to associate the PSL with the DC shooting."
