The World Health Organization says 15,000 Palestinians, desperately in need of medical treatment, are awaiting medical evacuation from Gaza, as the Rafah border crossing remains shut despite the ceasefire deal.
The US’s Trump and Vance both came out strongly against an Israeli parliamentary vote in favor of annexation, with Trump saying “it won’t happen”.
The International Court of Justice rules Israel has an obligation as the occupying power to allow basic necessities into war-ravaged Gaza, saying it’s using “starvation as a method of warfare”.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,234 people and wounded 170,373 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 attacks and about 200 were taken captive.
